Ganesh Chaturthi is a Hindu festival celebrated by Indians every year in month of August-September. Lord Ganesha's clay statue is displayed in homes, temples, and on stages in pandals throughout this 10-day festival. The auspicious ceremony celebrates Lord Ganesha's birthday, who is known as the God of Fortune. It begins in the month of Bhadrapada, which is between August and September, on the fourth day of the Hindu lunisolar calendar. This event is celebrated every year by local communities and pandals with significant enthusiasm. Here is how to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi at home if you are unable to join in the local celebrations:

Worshipping Lord Ganesha:

The Ganpati idol is first placed in the home for morning and evening worship. Before bringing the idol home, the entire house might be cleansed, and the entire family might be assembled to welcome the Lord. Following that, the idol is worshipped with durva, flowers, modaks, and karanji.

Things Required for Puja:

Eco Friendly Lord Ganpati Idol, Chowki, Red Cloth (Asan), Chandan Tikka, Durva, Janeu, Gangajal, Camphor, Kumkum Roli, Betel Nuts (Supari), Moli, Flowers, Fruits, Sweets, Modak, Panchaamrit, Panchmeva, Aarti Book to read, Diya, Cotton Wicks, Puja Bell, Incense Cone or stick, Dhoop, Kalash, Whole Coconut, Paan Leaf, Haldi ( Turmeric Powder)

Pooja Vidhi:

Place the Eco Friendly Ganpati Idol on raised Platform covered with Red Cloth
Light an oil ghee diya lamp before starting the puja.
Invite Lord Ganesha to come home and accept the seat you offered and pray to him.
Offer flowers to Lord Ganpati.
Wash Lord Ganesha Feet with Ganga Jal.
Tie Roli in Right hand of Lord Ganesha Statue.
Make Panchamrit with milk, sugar, curd, ghee, and honey to Offer Lord Ganpati
Drink Panchamrit with your left hand.
Cover the Upper body of Lord Ganpati Idol with decorative cloth
Offer Chandan Tikka, Camphor, Durva and Janeu to Lord Ganesha and light Ghee Diya by lightening lamp and incense stick.

Offer bhog to Lord Ganpati with sweets, Modak and fruits.
Offer Whole Coconut, Supari, Paan, Haldi, Kumkum, Camphor to Lord Ganesha by putting all items in Puja Thali or in a plate.
Offer currency notes (Not mandatory)
Read and Sing the Ganesha Aarti and stand and turn around from your right. Offer Flowers and bow before the Lord Ganpati
Ask for Forgiveness If you make a mistake while doing the puja.
